How to edit a post and a page in WordPress

Posts: Posts and Pages are often confused while using WordPress , well when it comes to basic difference between them, then Posts are the content you add to your blog or site and they are presented in chronological order on your website’s front end, Posts go deeper and deeper inside as you keep updating and writing new ones, though they can be arranged in Categories or Tags to keep them organized and visible to user.

Pages: On the other hand Pages are more static in nature and are/can be added as menus on the WordPress site , they can be anything like About Us, Contact Us or Portfolio which usually are static in nature.

How to edit a Post in WordPress:

  1. Login to your site from admin panel ( www.yoursite.com/wp-admin)
  2. On the Leftpanel you will see ‘Posts’ , Take your mouse on it and you will see an option called ‘All Posts’, click on it.
  3. This opens a list of all the posts present on your site.
  4. Click the one you want to edit, and it will open in an editor.
  5. Do the changes and click ‘Update’ button at right.
  6. You are done.

How to edit a Page in WordPress:

  1. Login to your site from admin panel ( www.yoursite.com/wp-admin)
  2. On the Leftpanel you will see ‘Pages’ , Take your mouse on it and you will see an option called ‘All Pages’, click on it.
  3. This opens a list of all the pages present on your site.
  4. Click the one you want to edit, and it will open in an editor.
