Remove yellow/blue background color from AdSense ads in WordPress

Remove Background color from AdSense Ads

You might have come across with the issue of your AdSense ads having a yellow or sometimes blue background for those ads which do not cover the entire ad unit on your WordPress site. This is quite annoying and doesn’t look good on the site as these ad units doesn’t blend well with the site contents and stand out differently.

Don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with your adsense ad units. This background color is because of the ‘ins’ tag which AdSense use to embed the Ads on your website, and most of the WordPress themes use a default background color ( light yellow or blue ) for this tag.

To fix this you just need to setup a CSS for <ins> tag in your CSS editor.

And paste this CSS in the editor then hit ‘Save Stylesheet’

background: #ffffff;
text-decoration: none;

The color marked in red above is the background color you want for your ads, you can go ahead and customize it to any color which blends well with your website layout. Use W3Schools color converter to get the desired color code.
